IMG_4569Tappeto is a small fishermen village on the Tyrrhenian coast, west of Palermo; today it is a renowned seaside (facilities available on the beach) and holiday resort. It rises in the surroundings of the trappetum cannamellarum built in the XV century by Francesco Bologna for the processing of sugarcanes, which were extensively cultivated on the Nocella riverbanks. Along the road to the beach, a group of Sicilian painters has created some murals on fishery.
